Recently purchased a Woodsman climber and I'm extremely satisfied with this product.went together easily ,climbs great ,light and extremely sturdy. This my 1st climbing stand the only regret that I have is that I didn't buy this stand years ago John
I like it
I only tried it once in the back yard, it was stable, comfortable and relatively easy to carry and climb with.
Great stand and light weight
I wanted a roomy stand but not to heavy. This stand fit the bill.
Nice stand. Finally got to use after having it for 6 weeks. Its light weight, climbs well, very comfortable and stable. My reason for giving 4 stars is that the nuts and bolts that hold the braces in place when folded out are made of aluminum and strip out easily.
Extremely sturdy, stable and lightweight climber
I had another brand climber (no complaints) but passed it down to my son and purchased the Woodsman Climber because it was ~10lbs lighter (I am 5'7", 155lbs and have been carrying around a ~30lb climber for over 30yrs, usually hike at least a mile into rugged terrain and my age is catching up with me, especially when dragging a large deer out while carrying a climber). I am extremely pleased with the climber - it is very sturdy and stable - locks into the tree immediately with no slipping or sliding all the way up and down the tree. Takes very little time figuring out and is easy to attach to a tree even in the dark - very quiet, no squeaky parts. Packing is fairly simple by using the top strap and the additional foot strap however I take a few additional bungee chords to really lock together the chair and foot stand while carrying - comes with a camo bag that attaches to the top section for your extra tow lines, bungees, carabiners and bow hooks - (the lighter weight has been just what the old man ordered without compromising safety and effectiveness). Also, the seat is comfortable and a good size but can be an issue while climbing so I suggest using a bungee chord to attach the seat to the back of the top section while climbing so it (the seat) does not get in the way. All in all this is an exceptionally safe and effective climber - be sure to follow the safety guidelines because this climber is so sturdy and lightweight you can be fooled into going fast up and down the tree and forgetting about the dangers of climbing. It also comes with a nice full body harness that certainly works well but my guess is you will want to get a harness that fits your personal preferences. (Muddy makes a very nice harness - the Safeguard). Muddy's products are nicely priced for their quality and effectiveness. I expect this to be the last climber I ever buy.
